"Addressing systemic issues can seem intimidating, but I believe it’s important that we start from a framework of possibility. We have strengths we can build on. [...]What we’ve heard from our community is that it’s time to act.”

About EDI at SFU
Our goal is to ensure our campuses are welcoming places for everyone to gather and learn and that all who work or study here feel a sense of belonging, inclusion, fairness and mutual respect. We are working to create the conditions that foster a culture of inclusion and a healthy campus environment.
There is important work ahead. We need to amplify our efforts to create a safe and inclusive campus where we can all thrive.
Our organizational partner Pride at Work Canada has created LGBT 101, an inductory course to set the foundation of an LGBT-inclusive culture. SFU employees interested in taking the course can register using the code “SFU10” to receive a 10% discount.
